Signal tone.

Punch drunk, pissed up
on sounds that have
long since sunk
deep into you

Clunked,

clattered.

rolled,

rattled.

Right through you.

Relaced your shoes
to one another.

So when you put one limb over the other
you tied your own feet in knots.

They took your toe.
Left it touching the back
of your right
shoulder, softly

Made it kind of
difficult
to stand
properly

Trough over peak,
so to speak.

Twisted oddly.

Chaotic angles and utterances.

Trussed up like a duck, by yourself
Working closely hand in hand
With background noises
at a range of frequency bands.

Phonemic ricochet,
tweaked leccy bounces around
Ping off every corner

of what surrounds you

It dyes the air
in it’s wake
Shakes hue perception
dissects and rearranges spectrum

Light, colour
and the fine
mesh of notes
wind tighter

Pitch
higher
lower
higher.

Further inside your mind
every time

And it all started
with a single
signal tone,
neutral.
